Luna and Sola Trees
You may be interested to know that most Trees have a boundless source of energy that they are quite willing to share with us humans.

You can discover this for yourself, if you 'hug' them

You will also notice that some trees feel warm to the touch and others seem to be cool but fresh.

If you experiment, you will discover that all the trees in each Tree-Tribe have the same type of energy.

There appears to be a wide scale of energy levels, ranging from 'warm and vibrant' to 'cool, calm & collected', with lots of degrees in between.

When our forest dwelling Elfin ancestors, first discovered this, science hadn't been invented, so we didn't know how to describe them in scientific terms, and we had to invent words that meant something to us

We felt that the warm trees had an energy that reminded us of the Sun, which gave us both 'heat & light', so we called it 'Sola' energy.

The energy of the cool trees, reminded us of the Moon with its 'light but no heat', and so we called it 'Luna' energy.

We have discovered since that the Sola end of the scale has a wavelength (or Lethbridge Rate) of 24 inches (608 mms) and the 'Luna' end a wavelength of 29 inches (736 mms), with a whole range of quanta in between.

Although it is possible to measure these; in practice we find we only need to know which end of the scale they are nearest to, so we term them either Sola or Luna.

Now, thanks to the late Tom Lethbridge (the famous Scientific Dowser), we also know that, every Tree-Tribe has it's own individual wavelength or 'Rate'.    As this is very useful for identification purposes, we have included it in the following lists.

'This is all very well,' you might say, 'but what good is this knowledge to me?'

Good question, and the answer depends on the availability of trees in your locality.

Being hard working Elves, we find that there are many occasions when we feel that our personal energy level is down and we ought to do something about it.

Well, as country people, we find it nice, as well as very useful, to be able to get help from the friendly trees in our neighbourhood.

We have found that Sola trees are marvellous at re-charging our batteries and making you feel 'game for anything'.

On the other hand, when we are feeling under the weather; highly stressed; smarting after being told off by the boss; or recovering from a row with a partner; we find it very soothing to go and tell our troubles to a Luna tree, and feel It carress you with It's energy, as It calms you down, relaxes you, and then builds up your inner strength, until you feel able to face live's battles once more.

We suggest that you search you local parks and woods for suitable trees to help you.

The bigger and older they are, the better they are at sharing energy.

They also need to be in a place where you can hug or lean against them, without drawing undue attention to yourself.

We suggest that you try to locate at least two Sola and two Luna trees, to give yourself a bit of variety.

Then, whenever you feel 'up-tight' or 'stressed', disillusioned or frustrated, or have had a row with somebody, you will have a friendly Luna Tree to tell your troubles to.

Likewise, whenever your feel 'worn-out' with a low energy level due to overwork, sickness, mental fatigue, or even the illness known as 'ME', you will be able to explain your problem to, and receive an energy boost from, your friendly Sola Tree.

As it is very difficult to describe the actual character of a Tree Dryad, our tribe has found them much easier to comprehend, when we classify them as being very similar to the various human characters that we meet in everyday life.

The following list will give you an idea of how we see the various Tree-Tribes we are familiar with. Also indicated is whether the Tree-Tribe is Sola or Luna orientated and their standard 'Rate' on the Lethbridge Long Pendulum.
