LiveWood is very special wood donated by a sacred tree spirit (one of the Woodland Gods of long ago) for human use.

The lovely 'feel' comes from the fact that it is the abode of a Dryad (Tree Spirit).   This Dryad is a civilised clone of the original 'wild' Tree Dryad, who donated the LiveWood.

Although invisible, Dryads are great fun to carry around, as they operate on the same levels as your own Higher Self; which means that the two of you can become friends on all levels. You will notice the benefit of this in the way they help you to 'Keep your Cool' yet give you the confidence you need to overcome stressful situations. In today's stressful world, they are worth many times their weight in gold.

Co-operating with rare Sacred Trees and encouraging them to donate LiveWood; is an ancient Elfin Art that goes right back, through the mists of time, to the New Stone Age.

In fact, examples of this pre-historic Art, are as rare as 'Five-leaf Clovers', in our modern world and as far as we know, there is only one surviving family, in the entire world, who have the passed-down know-how to produce LiveWood.

They are a real Elfin family where all the children have the same name (Dusty) and they trade under the traditional name of Dusty Miller and Son.

The current Grandfather (Dusty the 13th) describes their work in the following manner:-

 takje01.gif (4859 bytes)

LiveWood

The Dusty Millers, are a very small family business that has been involved in the magical production of 'LiveWood' Wands and 'LiveWood' Healing Tools for many centuries.

All of our LiveWood Object d'Art are produced individually in the time honoured traditional manner that dates back, with our family history, to the pre-Celtic Days of the WildWood.

Effective LiveWood instruments can only be made with the active co-operation of the         life force resident within the tree itself.

As every tree is but the physical body of a Nature Spirit, known as a Tree Dryad, success in this field depends entirely on the degree of contact and the mutual agreement achieved.

By using the sacred methods, rites and rituals laid down by the ancient woodcraft lore of the Old Religion, we have been able to talk with our Sacred Trees and achieve a very high degree of success.

In simple terms, we (the Dusty Millers) have learnt to work WITH Mother Nature, instead of ON her, and the co-operation gained is truly fantastic, making our work very special.

This rapport with trees is a very ancient and mystical art, but we have found it well worth the twenty-five long years of apprenticeship needed to achieve it.

Although aware of us humans, most Dryads are not interested in mankind at all and tend to ignore us completely.

However, for some unknown reason, those Dryads that live on Ley-Lines, seem to go out of their way to be friendly. It is, as if, the barrier between their world and ours is much thinner on Ley-Lines, due maybe, to the Earth Energies that pulse along the Leys.

This is why all our LiveWood Dryads were 'born and bred' on these lines of power.

Trees can be predominantly Male or Female, or (more usually) both: whereas Dryads are always Neuter.

This means that Dryads can only reproduce by sub-dividing themselves to form a 'Clone'.

The New 'Clone' Dryad is immediately as old and knows everything the original Dryad knew.

This means, in effect, that all Dryads are the same age; but in fact they are actually timeless and to all intents and purposes, immortal.

The 'Tame' or domesticated Clone-Dryads use a piece of LiveWood from their parent tree, to anchor them to the physical world.

Thus, even though they are very active in the psychic world, they still keep a 'sleeping partner' in our physical world.

 takje01.gif (4859 bytes)
Apart from LiveWood, we ought to mention that there are three other types of wood.

'Livingwood, Deadwood and Greenwood'.

'Livingwood' is the flexible, living wood that forms the body of a growing tree. It is in the business of being a tree and growing bigger and stronger all the time.

'Deadwood' is wood that for one reason or another, is no longer growing and has been rejected by both the tree and the Dryad, and has been put into a self-destruct mode.

Autumn leaves are a good example of this withdrawal of the life-force, when the tree no longer needs them.

Unfortunately, Deadwood isn't much good for anything apart from use as fuel or when rotted down as food for other trees as part of the woodland food-chain.

'Greenwood', on the other hand, is wood stolen from the tree by force.

As soon as the Tree Spirit see the thief approaching, the Dryad will quickly vacate the tree, so that all the thief gets is an abandoned branch without any life-force in it.  But as it isn't in the self-destruct mode, the branch will in fact die slowly, leaving behind a dead body known as timber, that mankind has found very useful.

Once the thief has gone the Dryad will again enliven the tree, and things will return to normal.

Most of our LiveWood items grew on incredibly ancient trees growing either along the pre-historic 'Ley-lines' or Earth Energy force fields that criss-cross our English North Kent countryside, or in one of the Elfin 'Hallowed Places' that mark their inter-sections.

This is because the vibrations of these lines of force appear to have a very beneficial and strengthening effect on anything growing along their path.

Likewise, all of our LiveWood comes from trees sacred to the Old Religion, because the combination of these two factors results in a much more reliable sort of Dryad.

takje01.gif (4859 bytes)

Under normal circumstances, whenever a branch is cut from a tree, the Dryad withdraws the life-force from the branch and allows it to die, but with our method, the Dryad is only too happy to leave a sub-division or 'clone' of itself in the branch, so that the branch now has its own personal Dryad.

It is somewhat similar to growing a plant from a cutting. This new Dryad, no longer attached to a tree, suddenly finds It can do a lot of things that It couldn't do before, and for our purposes It needs to be domesticated or tamed to help It to develop a higher degree of self-control.

This is done by performing all the necessary rituals of the ancient woodcraft lore evolved during the hey-day of the Old Religion.

This normally results in a unique LiveWood Tool, complete with one or more resident Dryads, each capable of greatly amplifying and guiding any thought-forms produced by the user of the tool.

But, Beware!

Every LiveWood Dryad, always has a strong character of its own and no guarantee of Its co-operation can be given. They will only work with the people they like and can trust.

It will, therefore, pay you to take the time to make friends with them first, before requesting their help.

The more you win their confidence, the more help they will give you.

Treat them like a friend and they will give you a lifetime of devoted service.

Blessed Be,

Mental Effects
They also have a beneficial effect on one's mental awareness.

This is because Dryads have very inquiring minds and your Higher Self soon becomes much more alert and agile-brained trying to answer all their questions.

The spin-off of all this is you get a lot more out of life, than you did before; which can't be bad can it?

In fact, LiveWood Dryads can be helpful in all manner of ways, as you will see from the following list.    So look through the list and see which of them would be best for you.

Life Long Friends
However, bear in mind, that although they may appear to be expensive, they do have an anticipated working life of about 300 years.

Also, not only will they work with you (and your family) for the rest of your life, but they will be available to work with the next eight or nine generations of your descendants as well; which is real value for money.

Like Us, all trees have 'higher selves', so please treat them with respect.

They all have Group Souls called Dryads.

These are vast formless entities that exist on another dimension to us (just as our higher self does) but have a benign influence on our world.

Nobody knows what they really look like, because although invisible to human sight, a Dryad can project an acceptable image for safe recognition by the human mind, if It wants to.

The ancients called them 'The Hooded Ones' because although they could see the cowl, their face was always in shadow; which is why we always draw them as though they were ghosts.

Dryads can also change their size at will to suit the current circumstances.

Some prefer to be pocket-sized, whereas others are several miles across and a mile high.

But, whatever their size, their character and abilities remain constant.

pic4c.jpg (10277 bytes) Although trees have tribal characteristics (i.e. type of tree, Oak, Ash, etc) they can grow more or less whatever size and shape they fancy.

The Dryads of each tribe have different vibratory rates which enable whole groups of them to live together, quite comfortably in the same small volume of space.

Like humans, both Trees and their Dryads are very self-sufficient, with characters based on their tribe and the influence of the environment in which they live.

The Dryad has no eyes, but is fully aware of what is going on in all directions at once: a sort of Radar System.

It also has no concept of time but takes action as if it can see into the future.

Although aware of us, most Dryads are not interested in mankind and tend to ignore us completely

Most humans tend to treat trees like wallpaper; they are vaguely aware of it but can't be bothered to actually look at it.
Most trees follow our lead and treat us the same way.

But for some unknown reason, Tree Dryads that live on Ley-Lines, go out of their way to be friendly

It is, as if, the barrier between their world and ours is much thinner on Ley-Lines, due maybe to the Earth Energies that pulse along our Planet's Ley-Line Meridian System.

This is why all our LiveWood was 'born & bred' on these natural lines of power.

Trees can be predominantly Male or Female, or more usually, both: whereas Dryads are always of the Neuter Sex.

This means they are neither a 'him' or a 'her' but an 'It'.

We know this takes a bit of getting used to and our English grammar isn't very helpful when referring to a living entity that is neither male or female.

(In our family, we have a great love for Dryads and so we always refer to them with a capital letter to show our respect.)
denap01.gif (2344 bytes)

They can only achieve reproduction by sub-dividing and duplicating themselves, like cells do.

The New Dryad produced in this manner is actually a clone of the Original Dryad and knows everything the Original Dryad knew.

It is also, immediately as old as the Original Dryad, from the moment of sub-division

This means, in effect, that our all Dryads are the same age: but in fact they are timeless and to all intents and purposes, immortal.

Again like humans, some are 'old and wise' and some are just 'old'.

Their level of maturity, appears to be increase in relation to the length of time their physical bodies have remained rooted in the same place.

Very old trees always seem to have wise Dryads, and the older the forest, the wiser the resident Dryads.

The wild trees we work with have an average age of two thousand years and they reside in the remnants of a forest that was there during the Ice Age, long before Britain became an Island.

We are in fact very honoured to be working with the oldest and wisest living entities in the British Isles; which is why we are telling you about them, for we know they can help you too.

When a ancient Tree Dryad in this forest, decides to expand their consciousness by forming a partnership with a human; it does so by donating a branch to us, complete with a clone of Itself.

This clone we refer to as a 'Tame' Dryad as opposed to the 'Wild' Dryad in the Forest.

Tame Dryads always use a piece of 'LiveWood' from their parent tree to anchor them to the Physical World.

Thus, although they are very active in the Psychic Worlds, they still have a 'sleeping partner' in our Physical World.

Our job is to shape the piece of LiveWood into a work of art that the Tame Dryad's prospective partner will fall in love with, and be willing to form a Psychic Partnership with.

This will in fact be a Magical Partnership, that will be mutually advantageous to both partners, enabling you both to climb the ladder of Consciousness.

pic9a.jpg (18356 bytes) We ought to explain at this juncture, that there are four different sorts of wood; each with its own name, so that people know which type we are referring to.

When a tree is alive and growing, the wood it is made of, is called 'Living Wood'.

'Deadwood' is wood that has been rejected by the tree and the Dryad, and has been put into the self-destruct mode.

Autumn leaves and dead branches, are a good example of this withdrawal of the lifeforce, when the tree no longer needs them.

'Greenwood' is wood stolen from the tree by force, that had to be abandoned by the Dryad before It had time to put the self-destruct mode into operation.

This is the sort of wood you are most familiar with, for it is used to make all sorts of wooden objects, from houses to furniture to toys.

It is NOT the sort of wood that we use, as it has no life within it.

The only wood that we use, is called 'LiveWood' and is host to a resident Tame Dryad that is a clone of the Wild Dryad that donated the branch to us.

Wild Dryads are anchored to the ground by their tree roots (i.e. their feeding system); Tame Dryads, however, can achieve mobility, simply by encouraging a human to carry their piece of LiveWood about with them.

The Dryad really enjoys seeing the world in this manner and is only too happy to look after their human partner in return.

Unlike us, Dryads can vary their size at will, enabling them to be as big, or as small, as they want to be.

So don't be fooled by the apparent size of the physical tree; it can bear no relation whatsoever to the actual size of the resident Dryad.

Wild Dryads are usually much bigger than you expect and mile high Dryads are quite commonplace.

It is a good job they are invisible to us just imagine how intimidating it would be to have them looming over you, watching your every move.

Basically, this is why the countryside feels different to the town; there are a lot more Dryads about.

In fact in many areas the whole landscape is covered with a thick layer of inter-penetrating Dryads; all doing their own thing, without us poor mortals even realising it and only being vaguely aware of being surrounded by them.     Which luckily, is a rather nice feeling.

pic1b.jpg (12092 bytes)
This is what you and I would look like on the same scale.

As you can see, it would be very intimidating if we could see them looking at us.     So maybe it is just as well that we can't.

SMILE!
Our Dryads are looking at You!

SMILE... is the slogan of our European Campaign for
Dryad Consciousness.
... Let us tell you all about it.

If you really want to make your mark in life and leave something for prosperity then Dryad Consciousness can help you.

However, Dryad Consciousness can only be achieved by making a real effort and actually working with one or more of the very specially trained and individualized Dryads (Tree Spirits) resident within our various LiveWood Tools, Instruments and Objet d'Art.

The reason for this is simple; the Dryads each want to learn as much as possible, in order to advance their own individual evolution, but are quite willing to help us in the process.

Being our equivalent in the plant world, they, like us, are very curious about what life is all about. But, not having hands and feet like us, they are somewhat limited in their ability to travel and experience the civilised world. So they have to rely on information passed to them by other trees, which is not at all like first-hand experience, as you well know.

The ancient tree-spirits resident in our LiveWood are Individualized Clones from some of the oldest tree-spirits on this planet, having been standing in the same place for over 50,000 years.

They were there long before Britain became an island and gave shelter to our ancestors throughout the last Ice Age.

Because they are somewhat older than us, they have been watching our progress for many, many centuries, and have kept us supplied with beneficial vibes to help our development.

In fact, the ancient Tree Spirits that we work with, have been waiting patiently for the last 10,000 years for mankind to become sufficiently aware to be able to partner them in the next stage in both our and their self-development

For want of a better word, we term this stage Dryad Consciousness as it is a vital step on the path towards true Cosmic Consciousness.

It teaches us to stop being selfish and egocentric and to start working in harmony with the other beings, both visible and invisible, that share this wonderful world with us.

tak002.gif (6023 bytes)

Dryads are completely invisible to our human eyes and although we can become aware of them, we are unable to see them; which may be just as well as they do have a disconcerting habit of becoming bigger or smaller as the mood takes them.

They also have a sense of humour that could get out of hand if they thought we could see them.

An added problem is the fact that they are all of the 'Neuter Gender' and we humans are not used to dealing with beings that are neither a 'He' or a 'She'.

Luckily however, our LiveWood Dryads understand this and although they are really an 'It' (with a capital letter, to show respect) they are quite prepared to respond as either a male or female to please their human partner.

In order to live and operate in our world, every Tree Dryad needs a physical home, such as a group of trees or a piece of LiveWood, to anchor It to this reality. Likewise, our own invisible Soul or Higher-self (call it what you will) needs to be attached to our lower-self, for the very same reason.

This means that every piece of LiveWood we have was individually grown and shaped, to meet the requirements of the Dryad resident within it.

Every piece of LiveWood is also Sacred, as it was donated by one of the ancient Holy Trees that live in a remnant of the prehistoric forest known as AndredsWeald in Kent, England.

The ancient trees that we work with have an average age of over 2,000 years.

Although you could class these trees as the old age pensioners of the tree world, they are still vibrantly active with a mental awareness that would put most university professors to shame.

So please treat our LiveWood with the respect it deserves. These pieces of LiveWood come in all shapes and sizes, but they do have a number of things in common.

One of the most amazing of which, is the way each piece will be 'just right' for the person it is meant to partner.

By this we mean, that it will be just the right fit for their hand, as well as having all the special abilities that will be needed to enable their partnership to flourish.

In practice, this means that if you and the Dryad are compatible, your feelings will tell you. You won't need to be told by anyone else, whether the LiveWood feels right to you or not.

It is like choosing a puppy; you may examine the whole litter and try to make a choice, but what in fact will happen is the right puppy will choose you.

Basically, our LiveWood Dryads can be divided into three broad classifications.

They will either use their abilities to......

Examples of all three groups, can be found in the pages of this LiveWood Site and anywhere we display our latest collection.
E-mail us for details.

As our family are the last surviving LiveWood makers in the world, producing enough LiveWood to meet the international demand takes up most of our time.

This means that public displays of our LiveWood are few and far between, so examine all of our pages, NOW, whilst you can.

The item that is just 'right' for you is probably available right now, but somebody else is likely to grab it, if you delay too long.

We must warn you, that our LiveWood is expensive, for it is both an investment in Your future and the future of Your descendants.

As your piece of LiveWood will still be active some 250 years after your death, the next eight or nine generations of your descendants will also be able to benefit from working with the resident Dryad.

So from a cost point of view they are a much better long-term investment than a new car or a nice house.

The only problem is, you can't actually 'Buy' a Dryad.

All you can do if you find a willing potential partner is to offer it 'mobility'.

You can do this by offering to purchase your Dryad's LiveWood home.

When your offer is accepted, and you receive your Dryad, you will be able to develop your Dryad partnership by carrying your piece of LiveWood about with you, so that your Dryad can see Your view of our human world and experience what Your life is all about.

In this way, you will be helping your Dryad in It's quest for enlightenment; and in return, your Dryad will do all sorts of things to help you progress along your own path.

So that you build up a real partnership that is of equal value to both of you.

So relax and start SMILING,

for you too, are eligible to have one or more Dryad Partners of your own.
